Xbox won't update

I had the same experience and I'm also a preview member (although I can't access the forums). I went to download the update, I would get about 1mb per minute for about ten minutes, then got the error message that something went wrong. It gave me the options
to check my connection (I'm wireless), try again, or turn off xbox.

I checked my connection, it was fine. It automatically started downloading from where it left off, but quickly stopped and gave me the same message. I reset my router, tested the connection, and again it was fine. Download started automatically, got about
3mb more then it stopped again.

Since it was actually downloading, just very slowly, I decided to just hit try again. It got to 10%, then jumped to 53% downloaded, then slowed again. After about 40 minutes of slow downloading, it jumped again, completed the download and updated.

I know my internet connection was fine because I was on the internet with my laptop while it was downloading. I haven't had a chance to test anything else on the console yet.

 

I am currently trying (yet again) to use that same tactic. I fell asleep last night while attempting to nurse the download along. Hopefully it works in 40 mins like yours!!

tried to use the "Try Again" method, but alas it restarted at 0% and super slow download. Going on 48 hours without use of console lol

 

I got ahold of Xbox support. They had me do a few things that didn't work. When we were almost out of options they had me unplug my Ethernet cable and try to download the update via wireless router and it worked. I'm not sure why it worked but it did. Plugged
my Ethernet cable back in after update and everything was fine. Hopefully this will help someone.

Just sit tight as the support crew are hard at work looking into this issue, and hopefully should have a resolution soon.

Just remember to that these bugs are part of being in the preview program, is up to us to find these first and report them in before they hit the masses Bugs like these don't happen often thankfully, but when they do, we're on the frontlines to find them
