    So I unplugged my old xbox one time clean it and now it no longer controls my TV when I turn the console on or off, despite it still being setup that way in the control panel. Then my wife surprised me with a new one x and it also will not cycle the TV when I turn on or off, in the control panel are options to control devices via hdmi but not specifically my TV. Anyone run into this issue before?

    Xbox one console not controlling TV since receiving it back from service.

    I have the same problem with the same TV. It will not control TV power either off or on. I also can't get my Xbox to turn on by saying Xbox On, either. But Xbox off works, just won't turn TV off.

    I'm on this new beta update for xbox one and since this my tv won't turn off with the command xbox off. Everything else does but the tv. Anyone else having the same problem?

    Also it may use hot list of words based on situation, meaning it won't recognize on when the box is already on. Most TV's would would toggle power off as the ir command is usually the same for both. Maybe try turning tv off and leaving the xbox on then
    speak the commands to turn the xbox off, and confirm with a yes. If that turns your tv on then it's your pronunciation or cadence.

    Me too... but I having a bigger problem now with turning on my Xbox One with instant on and with TV turn on features. when everything is "off" TV and Xbox, I say "Xbox, ON" Xbox lights up but most times it keeps blinking and will not turn on my Samsung Smart
    TV and even the Kinect and Xbox won't boot up. I have to hard restart the Xbox but I still have to turn on my TV Manually, but when I do that and the Xbox calls for the TV to be Turned on it actually turns the TV off. I Never Had this Problem before.
