    I recently had to buy a new power brick for my xbox one because the last one overheated. After waiting for a week and a half for the new one to ship it dies in less than a week. It still gets power to it because the light on the side still comes on but when
    i plug it into the xbox i can hear a weird static sound and the fan start up but then it dies. It makes the same sound when i attempt to turn on the xbox but then it stops and the xbox wont turn on. Does anyone know what could be the issue? Is the power brick
    bad? Can it be fixed? Could it be my console? If so is there any way to change it?

    I am sure that while my colleague wanted to point out that the "brick" is no longer produced for the original Xbox, there are approved suppliers

    I would wonder if the Xbox might have issues? Again we are not going to here offer anything but suggestions. Talk with Microsoft as the link suggests.

    Check gamestop for power bricks. You can return them if there is still an issue.

    Power bricks for the Xbox One are no longer manufactured by Microsoft, so you probably have a 3rd party manufactured one. These are not supported by Microsoft and as such, can have problems. The only way to find out if it is the console or power brick,
    is to try another power brick.
