    Xbox wont turn on and controller vibrates when i plug it in.


    while i was preforming an offline update on my console it got to the end of stage 2 and then seemingly shut off i don't know why. But when i turn it on nothing no sound no internal noises and the power supply isn't a problem I've tested 4 also when i plug
    in a controller it vibrates every 2 seconds.

    Possibilities

    1: yes i have taken it apart and swapped pieces from a newer one to fix it (witch was also broke)

    2: The console was unplugged when i was updating previously im pretty sure it corrupted the hard drive so that's why i had to do an offline update after the fact.

    If anyone can recommend something other than unplugging the console for 30 secs and plug it back in it would be greatly appreciated.

    Everything is up to date, controller and console. The sync button on my Xbox one doesn't seem to do anything when I press it & I can't play unless my controller is plugged in, even when its plugged in it wont even vibrate.

    Hi,thank you for taking your time to lend some help, my controller is mainly a wireless one but it does support a wired connection too. I tried connecting it to the Xbox using a wire, but still the controller was yet not lighting up(Logo button). I did plug it to my laptop and to my surprise it turned on for a bit but then the light turned off and there was just vibrations occuring while it was plugged and now the light does not turn anymore when it's plugged to the laptop only vibrations.

    If controller vibrations are distracting or make it hard to use your controller, you can adjust their intensity or turn them off completely.

    To change vibration, download the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store. Then, plug in your controller, open the app, and select
    Configure.

    • For an Xbox Elite Controller, select the configuration profile you want to change. Then select
      Edit > Vibration and move the sliders to adjust vibration settings.
    • For the Xbox Wireless Controller, select Turn on vibration to turn controller vibration on or off.

    Update: Turns out vibration is turned ON for my system, but the controllers don't vibrate.

    So I guess the issue is really that when any controller is connected to my system, when it's supposed to vibrate, it turns off.

    hey man... if the charge and play works on one controller and not the other, it's quite possible that the controller could have an issue. When you plug it into the console with the controller turned off completely, does the controller vibrate and turn on,
