Xbox wont turn of LG TV (42LD450)

I have my BT vision box setup through my xbox one, this turns off and on with the xbox one.

However, i have tried to connect my TV (LG - 42LD450). The system automatically recognises it, but it wont power up or down. I have entered the TV manually, it wont power up or down. None of the volume controls work either via smartglass.

I have a single IR emitter plugged into my Xbox one, no kinect.

Is the issue with the remote code?

Xbox 360 HDMI Screen Display Problem

I have a Xbox 360 Elite console that's probably about 6 or so years old and I think my HDMI cable for it isn't working properly or something anymore. It's not displaying 1080p resolution. You know how when you watch HD tv for a while and switch back
to SD... that's what It looks like now. It isn't just when playing games, it's the display itself. I don't know when or how this happened but I know it wasn't like this before. I've already messed with all the configurations and can't figure out what's wrong
and was hoping someone knew.

Unable to connect system to LG TV

have the same issue with my 50pg20d lg tv ,when I turn on the xbox one it says connecting on the tv then after a few seconds says no signal ,

I have tried a dvd player in the same ports and they work fine only the xbox one wont work any help would be great

 

What is this IR emitter and where do you plug it in? Take note that it is designed to work with the Kinect and you may encounter problems with third party products.

 

It's plugged into the xbox one. It works as it turns off my BT vision.

Also smartglass does not work the TV so eliminates any IR emitter issues

 

smartglass uses the IR on the Kinect, what I was saying is because it is not Microsoft certified it might work with some devices not all. Is it a usb one?

 

No it's a 3.5mm jack IR. The IR emitter is built into the setup for he xbox. It's def the code for the remote on the TV

 

just been looking on the back of my console I didn't know there was a IR jack on it lol sorry about that. Have you tried cycling the codes when setting it up, I had the same problem with my sky box I was cycling for about ten mins until it gave me the right
one, I believe it asks you if it works when you click no it asks you to cycle automatically do that and get back to us,

 

No worries. I have clicked and no and then tried again, about 4 times and then it just says skip. I have not seen the automatic option?
