Xbox won't turn my TV on or off with the console

    Xbox won't turn my TV on or off with the console


    When I type in my TV model number, it doesn't show up in the list. The Xbox says it recognizes my tv and knows how to control it, but then it doesn't successfully turn my TV on or off when the Xbox turns on or off, so I think it really doesn't recognize
    the TV. What do I do?

    I have the options set to turn it on and off, and I even tried the toggle option instead, but nothing is happening.

    My tv model number is OLED65CXPUA. It is LG brand. I would have picked Television Hardware as my category but when I picked LG only one model was available to select, which gives me even more reason to believe Xbox doesn't know what my TV is.

    Xbox one console not controlling TV since receiving it back from service.

    I have the same problem with the same TV. It will not control TV power either off or on. I also can't get my Xbox to turn on by saying Xbox On, either. But Xbox off works, just won't turn TV off.

    I have tried turning everything off and disconnected everything, turned on the tv and connected the xbox to the amp and connected the amp to the tv making sure I plugged in to a arc input and turned that on I made sure the hdmi control on my amp was turned on my xbox will turn my amp on but my amp won't control my tv my old one s console had option to separately control both tv and amp but my series x console only has one option for cec control

    Wont turn TV on or off

    I'm on this new beta update for xbox one and since this my tv won't turn off with the command xbox off. Everything else does but the tv. Anyone else having the same problem?

    Me too... but I having a bigger problem now with turning on my Xbox One with instant on and with TV turn on features. when everything is "off" TV and Xbox, I say "Xbox, ON" Xbox lights up but most times it keeps blinking and will not turn on my Samsung Smart
    TV and even the Kinect and Xbox won't boot up. I have to hard restart the Xbox but I still have to turn on my TV Manually, but when I do that and the Xbox calls for the TV to be Turned on it actually turns the TV off. I Never Had this Problem before.
