XBox won’t sync with controllers

I’ve tried this along with changing the batteries. In the controller itself. The controller lights up and flashes but won’t sync when I press the sync button.

Yes, this first occurred last weekend. The console has been unplugged for multiple hours at least twice. I’ve changed all batteries in controllers as well.

The console hasn’t worked for several days, tonight was the first time I found this forum to ask questions.

You're welcome and thank you so much for the update. Have you already tried to unplug the console for an hour then check if both controllers will now work?

I’ve tried that as well. I would think it’s a hardware problem but given that the controller worked when it wanted to do an update, I’m pretty certain it’s a software issue.
