Xbox wont sync with any controllers

Hi,

My Xbox One is having issues and wont sync with any controllers. The problem started when playing fifa, I got disconnected from the servers and couldn't re-connect so I restarted my console then couldn't connect my controller.

When the sync button is pressed the xbox light doesn't even flash.

Its not a controller problem I have tried multiple controllers and used mine with another xbox.

I have tried turning it off multiple times, un-plugged everything, did the 10 second reset and tried using usb cables but no matter what I try it wont connect.

The xbox still works I can launch games and use kinect voice commands, except it doesnt seem to recognise my external hard drive. It also doesn't seem to turn off fully using power button (unless help down), it keeps flashing and sometimes restarts (not
sure if this was a problem initially)

Has anybody else had this problem or know of any solutions, is there anything else I can try?

Controllers won't connect

i have the newer xbox and only one of my wireless controllers wont reconnect or sync

Xbox wont respond to controllers.

I have three Xbox one controllers I have tried to sync them all and it says they are synced but the xbox wont respond to any of them.

I assume this is a problem with the Xbox but how would i fix it?

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test
the results.

Hi thanks for you response, this morning I turned it on and it was working fine, played it for a couple of hours and turned it off. Switched it on this evening and the problem was back.

I tried your solution multiple times and it finally worked when I un-plugged the power chord only from the console and not the power point.

I will see again tomorrow if the problem comes back.

Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

I recently tried updating my controller but the update failed, now my controller wont sync with my xbox and also will not sync with a micro usb cable. The light wont flash faster if I press the sync button on the controller. I would like to update the controller
and possibly solve the problem but since it wont become recognizable to any of my devices I can't. I need urgent help.

try to get your controller checked out by an expert because most of the time it's the stuff that are inside that either needs servising or replacing the componets inside

For now, why not just turn off the Xbox at the wall, then sync your controller to your PC, then turn the Xbox back on at the wall. That way you wont turn the Xbox One on when syncing the controller to the PC.

i can turn my xbox on
with my controller but still doesnt sync.

Power on the console with the power button and let it finish booting. Then power-on the controller with the Guide button. When the controller's lights start spinning, hit the sync button on the console.

have noticed that when the green lights spin on the console after pressing the sync button that only three are spinning controller or user two does not light up at all..

It's possible your controller is damaged in some way and can no longer sync. Try
to re-pair the controller using the steps provided above.
