Xbox won't "suck in" disc

I'm not sure how to word it, but my Xbox just stopped taking in the disc. It doesn't make a sound or even feel like its attempting to insert the disc. It is a couple years old, without any previous problems. I had ejected a movie, with out issue, and tried
to put another in and this happened. I tried turning my Xbox off and back on and also tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, but it was no help.

XBOX wont read disk

Same problem here!!! My xbox one makes a crazy sound when you try to insert a disc like its ripping the disc up. Won't play any games at all!!

And it was a birthday present-sucks for me!!!!

 

System won't attempt to ingest disc

Is anyone one having this issue? My xbox one won't even attempt to ingest the disc. I've seen videos of the "common" issue where it sucks it in, then whirs a bit, then doesn't work, but mine won't take the disc in at all. That piece of functionality that
sucks the disc in is just not working. I tried to push it all they way in manually and ended up having to get a needle noise pliers to get the game out.

 

Hey there kittybubble,

It sounds like there could be a hardware issue here. Have you tried multiple discs from DVD's to Blu Ray Movies? Are you hearing any noises at all from the console when you insert a disc?
