Xbox won't stay on and keeps beeping

It's possible that there's some dust on the power button that could be causing this. Try unplugging the console and take a soft, dry cloth and wipe around the power button to see if that helps.

If it does not then you would need to send the console in for repairs.

please make sure you have them plugged into the main wall outlet and not an extension lead

Did that for the one that is giving me the real headaches.

It has worked perfectly fine on this exact outlet from the day I received the console. Only after running the latest update I got the problem.

Even did a factory reset over the weekend, but the situation hasn't changed. I turn the X1 on, it does the beeps, all stays dark, it does the shutdown beeps and turns off.

After keeping the power supply unplugged from the mains and the X1 for several hours, the console turns on again at times. I would say 50% of the times. But then it won't shutdown anymore. When I do a shutdown I need to unplug the power or it will stay turned

Unfortunately no, it has stayed at 7% since that time.

When I press the on button:

1. the Xbox starts up with the on beep
2. The button light dims; and
3. Then it shuts down with off beep 1-2 seconds later.

Have detached the external hard drive and tried disconnecting the power for several mins.

I can't do a factory reset as the machine won't stay on for more than 2 seconds, regardless of what buttons I press.

Try holding down on the small button underneath the xbox logo on the console and that xbox button on the console until it starts flashing then wait until the light is solid and isn't flashing.

I tried all the basic things that could help. Nothing works. On all hdmi ports on the tv i get no video. And the xbox keeps beeping. 2 beeps a time
