Xbox Won't Stay On after 10 Seconds

Tried that, didn't work. There were no tones after several attempts.

Hey there General thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to us.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused but rest assured we are here to help. We suggest trying to reset the console through the troubleshooting screen (we understand the dashboard cant be accessed)

1. 1 Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.
   
2. 2 Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
3. 3 Wait 30 seconds.
   
4. 4 Plug the power cord back in.
   
5. 5 Continue holding the
   BINDand
   EJECTbuttons for 10-15 seconds.
   
6. 6 Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart.
   

NoteIf you
don't hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this failed. Likewise, if you hear any “power-down” chirps, that also means this failed.

1. You can release the
   BINDand
   EJECTbuttons after the second power-up tone.
   
2. When the troubleshooting screen comes up select Reset this console
   

Give it a shot and let us know how it goes.

If you're plugging in to a surge protector, you could try different plugs in case the connection in one is going bad.

It won't stay on for more than 10 seconds, so that's not an option unfortunately.
