    Xbox wont stay in sleep mode/off


    Hello,

    Im having an issue with my xbox one where it keeps turning itself on repetitively (every time i turn it off, a couple seconds later it turns back on).This suddenly started happening yesterday. I have looked online for solutions. Solutions being:

    -Clean off the front of the console

    -Disconnect the kinect (i do not own one)

    -remove controller batteries (none of the controllers are being turned on and it simply doesnt make sense they’d turn on the console) Upon trying these solutions, nothing changed so im asking support for other potential solutions.

    Turn off after period of inactivity

    Hi, I have set my XboxOne to turn off after a period of inactivity. My TiVo turns itself off after 4 hours of inactivity, for my TV and Surround Sound I set these to sleep when I'm off to sleep. I expect in the morning to see the XboxOne and Kinect lights
    to be off, but they aren't. Should they? Or do they stay on and in 'listening' mode for the "Xbox On" command? Thanks

    Elite series 2 sleep mode problem

    i've tried to reset by pressing the sync button, the xbox logo blinked fast, and i turned off and on again, it stay on but the problem is not that iot suddenly turn off, it stay on as long it don't go in sleep mode, at that point when i try to turn it on it will shut down after 1 sec, it stay on just enough to be seen by the computer, to solve i plug the cable for one sec and it work again as intended in wireless mode

    now, i just wait for it to go sleep and see if it will turn on again

    edit: the reset with sync button seams to have resolved the issue :D

    Network adaptor not working when "instant-on" power mode enabled upon boot.

    For what it's worth, PS4 will wake from sleep no problem on the same wifi. It's funny. After getting wifi to work again on xb1, upon a power off in instant on mode, it wont wake from the windows 10 app, and wont be connected to wifi again.. ugh.

    If your cable/sat box is on passthru just say Xbox on, then say Xbox watch TV. Pretty awesone IMO. Such a fast boot.

    If you have your system set to power mode instant on that means the Xbox will never be powered off when you tell it to. It will either be on sleep mode or on. Your Xbox may look powered off because the Xbox symbol on the system and kinect is off but its
    not. Its on sleep mode.

    Only way to completely power it off is setting the mode to Power mode energy saving.

    It was my understanding that when you say "xbox off" it doesn't truly turn off, but goes to sleep mode.
