    Xbox wont start up/black screen with error code instead of home. Help!!!!


    SO everytime i try booting up my xbox i get the black screen with the oops something went wrong message and an error code. I have reset my system 4 times now by holding down the power button and it still wont work. Help!

    Xbox one system not working

    Hi, My xbox one is having a major issue. it starts up normally but it wont go to the home screen instead it goes to a black screen and i cant do anything except pull up the controller menu where i can turn it off. I can load a game up but i cant access the
    game or return to the home screen, it simply wont let me. I need help as to how to fix this. I wondering if i have to send it off or something. Please help.

    When I power on my Xbox one it goes to the green Xbox screen then to a black screen

    When I press the power button on my Xbox one it shows the green Xbox start up screen for 2 mins then goes to black then shows an error message along the lines of "for some reason home has taken too long to start up" please help

    Which error code are you seeing?

    Have a look into this: Xbox One System Updates | Offline System Updates

    Select there "Troublesshoot System Error->Xbox One->Getting an Error Message with Code->" and select your code. Follow the instructions.

    Latest update seems to have renedered my console useless. Any suggestions.

    This exact problem happened to me. I just updated and boom just black screen instead of home screen. I click report a problem and it goes to open the app then black screen. I put in a disk and loads up the game screen and then black screen.

    While waiting for them to come out with a fix officially, I would like to say that this happened to me as well. You can try the steps below which managed to fix my blank or black home screen issue to see if it fixes yours as well. I have the original
    Xbox One.

    1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

    2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

    3. Wait at least 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

    4. Press and hold the BIND button and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox power button on the console.

    Your system should boot up to your normal Home screen. Please advise if this has resolved your problem. If it doesn't work the first time try one more time before you give up.
