Xbox won't start properly!

When I attempted to turn on the console yesterday, I started it up and the big Xbox one logo appeared on the middle of the screen as it always does. However, instead of loading up the dashboard and allowing me to play the *** thing it just......sits there.
The dashboard flat out REFUSES to load no matter how long I let it sit and the logo never goes away. I tried it again today only to get the same results. Any help you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Xbox wont start properly

So a few weeks ago my xbox has started playing up. first it kept dropping the picture and audio and not being able to get it again and when i next tried it would be fine.

now when i turn it on, it will power up all normal. power icon is green no other lights on in the ring and the controllers will flash around in a circle then flash at me and still go even after the console is turned off.

sometimes the console still turns on normally.

ive tried 3 differant hdmi leads and they all do the same thing one is fresh out of the box.

Xbox wont start properly

Pull the HDD out of the console. See if it starts.

Please follow the steps in this troubleshooting guide and see if that helps:

If this does not help please consider having your console serviced.

OK, I figured it out. All I had to do was start it up and hold down the power button for several seconds while shutting it down again. This must have really rebooted the console or something because it worked perfectly and is now downloading a new system
update. Thanks for the help though, Bob.

This is the second time this has happened . After console updates... Unfortunately i don't have a pc

Since you cannot get into any menus or anything you may want to factory reset it using a USB key.

How to reset your Xbox One console to factory defaults using a USB flash drive

The above process will wipe the entire console, accounts games etc. hopefully your saves are in the cloud.

Try unplugging for a few minutes and start again, if it turns on try clearing the cache as soon as it starts.

"Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options. Be sure to choose the Reset and keep my games & apps option so that you don’t lose any of your games and apps."

Important: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

Once you're done, try to check if you will be able to play any digital games you have without experiencing a screen freeze.

While the console is on you press the button.

If this procedure doesnt fix you might need to
Factory Reset your console.
