    Xbox won’t start and won’t reset


    Last weekend my Xbox one was being weird by not starting games sometimes and those games crashing when they would start. Today, seemingly out of nowhere, it completely gave up and keeps automatically sending me to the troubleshooting menu without actually booting up to the sign in screen. I tried to reset the Xbox factory settings but it doesn’t reset and it goes back to the troubleshooting mode with error code E102. I’ve tried basically everything like power cycling, restarting and powering off, but nothing is working

    Hi Harrison,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues where your Xbox does not boot in the home screen. You shared that you're receiving error E102.

    This means there may have been a problem when your Xbox console tried to install the latest console OS (operating system) update.

    1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

    2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

    3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

    4. Press and hold the Pair button (located on the left side of the console) and the Eject button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console.

    Note: The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition does not have an EJECT button. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the BIND button (steps 3 & 4) and then pressing the Xbox button .

    5. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

    6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

    My xbox doesn't connect to the TV its been using for over a year, and turns itself off after exactly a minute(I timed it).

    Xbox One won’t accept my MAC address

    I tried doing a hard reset and it did not work. I’ve tried restarting both router and Xbox numerous times. Any network setting I try to set manually won’t go through. The MAC address won’t restart after it’s entered. The IP addresses won’t go to the next screen after entering the Gateway IP. What is left to try?

    Update:

    Now my Xbox won’t turn on. I hit the button, it’s lights up and it makes the noise but immediately turns off. I had to unplug the power source for it to turn back on.
