Xbox wont sign in to Fortnite game on Sons console, and no reply from Epic games (2 weeks now)

Hi all,

First of all, im a newbie here and trying as many avenues and seeing if any of you gaming experts can help the problem we have on my sons Xbox.

We are all gamers in our house and all got Xbox's, the problem we have is with Fortnite/epic games.

Around 2 weeks ago my 2 sons wanted to link their Xbox's to Epic games account, and one of my Sons and my wife jumped on his iPad and for some reason it wouldn't log in when you try to link it on their website, so it said to create
an account and link it within. They did this and still would not join his for some reason, so with all the messing around they decided to delete that account they did on Epic Games - Note that the email address was a totally different one that is used for
his actual Xbox account.

My son went to go on his Xbox to play with all his school friends which he is missing like crazy during the lock down, it loaded the game and then refused to log in, saying error and please try again later.

My wife contacted Epic games from the email she had saying they can stop the delete on the account.....and heard nothing after a few days. She has tried again.

I have tweeted several times, I have filed the form online a few times and my wife has done the same...and not heard a thing now in around 2 weeks.

On some chat rooms and people i know who have had Epic games issues, they have said they have heard back after just 2 days.

All his friends play the game 2-3 times a day in groups and he can't log onto his, we have tried every possible route, Normally I would say its just a game and we can wait, but this is his contact with his friends he can not see and
family members who are enjoying playing this game during the lock down.

All his Christmas money / vouchers and his birthday vouchers went onto buying things for his account as he loves the costumes and dance's etc....now we can't access any of it.

From chatting to others we are finding they seem to be able to take your money and run and no one to chat to....ask for help etc

Creating an account on Epic games website with his Login, says his username is already taken....so its still there !but we can't log in on website as says account is inactive and may not log in.

Any advice, or help to get his account back up and running on his Xbox on his normal user name?

it wont change in fortnite as that game uses the tag setup on the epic account, you can freely log into epic and change that tag every 2 weeks.

It depends, because Epic Games doesn't allow you to play the same Fortnite account at the same time. It will remove the other Fortnite Game session from Gameplay. If you're trying to play Fortnite with your own account, you'd need to unlink the Xbox account from, in your current situation, your son, and then you'd need to make a new Xbox Account for your Son, and link the new Xbox Account to his Epic Games Account. You will, however not be able to see your son's Fortnite Game progress, since you've transferred it to a new Xbox account. I'd recommend you to follow up with Xbox Support and Epic Games.

You need to make sure the fortnite profile from epic games is connected to properly to xbox live. Say if your son by accident signed out and then created another fortnite profile , the v-bucks will go to the account previously connected to xbox live.

Please log in to your son's epic games account and under connections, acounts, you should see xbox is connected. If it is not than the v-bucks went to another account, and you will need to try to recover that account.
