    Xbox won't save home xbox


    When I try to make my Xbox a home Xbox for an account a message pops up saying "Couldn't save your changes", "Something went wrong when we tried to save your changes. Please make your changes again" and I've tried numerous times and the account does have
    a switch left on it so I know that's not the issue.

    Xbox won't go home

    Try performing the hard reset EXACTLY like this.

    Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test
    the results.

    Xbox won't go home

    Xbox won't go home when told to via the Xbox button on a controller, nor by using Kinect voice commands. I get this error code: 0x87b20c07 . Which I tried entering on the code error page, to no avail. My other console does this often as well; and there
    has never been a resolution. It simply recommends if it keeps happening to reset the console with the 10second power hold. This is very frustrating!!

    I'm sorry to see any issues with saving your Home console! We are aware of this issue, and have the right teams working on resolving this. There is a workaround that has been working for some users, but not all. If you

    factory reset     your console, using the option to keep your games and apps, this seems to be letting users pick their Home console again.

    If it doesn't work for you, we are digging into it. Once I have more information for you guys, I'll be sure to post back in here. Xbox won't save home xbox :) We appreciate your patience!

    Hey, guys!

    Good news! I've been informed that this should now be resolved.

    cal - You should be all good to set your Home console up as a Home console.

    Ty - I've been informed that your console has hit the limit for the number of customers whose Home console is set as your console. You will not be able to set your Home console until other users have removed it from their account.

    If either of you have any other concerns, be sure to let me know! I'm happy to help where I can. Xbox won't save home xbox :)

    This issue has been resolved. If you are still having issues, then you will need to
    contact us via phone or chat to have them look into if you've used all 3 resets in the past 12 months. Xbox won't save home xbox :)
