    I was just playing the red dead redemption 2 campaign when out of nowhere my xbox one original cut out. There was a very quiet pop sound as if a fuse or something had gone. But after it turning off, the fan came on out of nowhere. The xbox wont respond
    to me tapping the power on touch button, and it also wont respond to me trying to power on with the controller. The fan will stay on and it's in overdrive. I have never heard the fan as loud as this in my life. It sounds like a hoover or vacuum. I would like
    to note that it was a cheap 3rd party power supply. But even then I can't see that causing too many problems. I don't understand. Help would be appreciated.

    Put the console on the good ventilated place. Maybe is the dust. try to put some compressed air into it. Also, try with another power outlet and another power cord. If that not helps follow the link provided by Wistchacher.

    Also, try this:

    1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

    2. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.

    3. Press and hold the BIND (controller sync button located on the left side of the console or bottom right if a one S or one X) and the EJECT button and then just press the Xbox button on the console once.

    4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

    5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

    6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

    7. To reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, use the D-pad and A button on your controller to select Reset this Xbox.

    9. When prompted, select Keep games and apps. This option will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

    Hello! Try to remove the console from the outlet for about 10 minutes, and try to connect again, it is worth mentioning that the source is not reliable, always bought products in official and accredited stores.

    Hi, yes, i've tried that, it won't switch on using those either. Once manually switched on, both Xbox commands and Cortana work fine.

    The issues its now experiencing is, dropping 5Ghtz network frequently, fan is getting louder, won't power off 100% of the time (sitting with a flashing light and powering kinect on and off and won't power TV off....6 hours is its record having been left
    overnight). I'm beginning to think this Xbox One S is a dud.

    It auto downloads the update but you need to turn the Xbox On before it installs it. You will know because it won't respond to the "Xbox, On" command and you will have to manually turn on the console using the power button.

    It will do the rest by it self, you will also see a green progress bar during bootup.
