Xbox wont respond to controllers.

I have done an update with no results.

Thanks for the reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. By reset do you mean trying a
power cycle
of the console or a factory reset? Have you done some troubleshooting on the Xbox One Controller? If not, try this article:
Troubleshoot your Xbox One wireless controller.
This will help you pinpoint what may be going on. I also recommend trying to
update your controller as the Ambassador stated.

If the problem persists, try doing a soft factory reset of the console,
Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system and remove any potentially damaging files that may be on the OS causing this. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

Try this out and let us know the results.

Thanks for reaching out tour Forums for advice on how to deal with this issue concerning your controller not responding.

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems, but if the previously posted troubleshooting steps did not resolve the problem, then it would seem that your console is in need of replacement.

When did you get your controller?

If you got it within 90 days, then you should be eligible for a replacement under Microsoft's manufacturers warranty for accessories.

You can do so by visiting
Request an Xbox controller replacement.

Sorry that didnt work. Did you try using the troubleshooting link posted by XBF Amber M?

The reset was a power cycle. The troubleshooting guide offered no help. I have preformed a soft factory reset. I do not yet know if it was effective or not. Updates will follow.
