    Xbox won't register that I have a gold subscription.


    I'm looking at a page that says:

    CURRENT SUBSCRIPTIONS

    GOLD - 12 Month

    Expires 1/12/2016

    However when I try to join a game with a friend it directs me to the page to purchase a gold account.....so what's the point of having gold if my xbox one i bought for hundreds of dollars won't register it? I am able to connect to the internet and go on
    netflix and do all that, but I can't play a game with a friend without it directing me to the purchase page for a subscription. Saved up for months to buy the XBOX and this is what I have to deal with? Cool microsoft thanks for all your help

    I bought Xbox live and the money was taken out of my account but every time i try to play online it just takes me to the get gold screen again.

    How Long Have You Been Playing Xbox Live?

    I bought my first Xbox 360 in 2007, didn't register at first just gamed solely on offline. Just switched over from the PS2 then so wasn't too care for online. As time passed, I registered for a Silver account for a couple of years before going Gold. Went Gold for a year and then switched back to Silver after it expired. Last year, I renewed my subscription for another year so overall, I've been on Gold for two years.

    Hi, according to this web page you definitely have Gold.

    When did this start happening? Has it been working fine up until now?

    I would try removing your Xbox profile off your Xbox and re-downloading it to refresh it.

  5. You can try deleting and redownloading your profile from your console.

    To delete the profile: Go to Home screen > Press the Menu button on your controller > Settings > OTHER PEOPLE > Remove accounts > Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Choose this person.

    To download the profile: Go to Home screen > Sign in > Add New > Type your Microsoft account email > Type your password

    Hi,

    If you have tried to download the Games with Gold offer then there is no issue as you don't have Gold membership. You only have a trial which is not a subscription therefore the system won't register you as a gold member. If you wish to avail the offer you
    need to sign up for a proper full Gold membership. Also the trial won't come up on your account as gold member but you still should be able to play multiplayer games.

    Unfortunately Xbox 360 game purchases can't be completed on an Xbox One console or at Xbox.com without having a payment method such as a debit/credit card registered to your account. One you have done this it should allow you to complete the Xbox 360 games
    with gold purchase without charge.

    If you try to complete this purchase on an Xbox 360 console you will not need to register another payment method.

    Please note not all Xbox Live Gold subscriptions (typically trial subscriptions) include Xbox 360 games with gold games.

    But if I remove my payment, what about my xbox live gold subscription ? If the problem is buying something, i won't be able to buy it again and i won't be able to play.

    Even if i can buy my subscription, i will have to pay it again ?
