Xbox won't register disc

Just got my collectors edition from Amazon and when I insert the disc nothing happens. Anyone else experience this with Doom or any other games? All my other discs, games, music, movie etc all work fine.

Destiny 2 not working on one xbox

so I've got Destiny 2 and I was able to play it for a while but one day I went to put the disk in and my console won't register it. It will spin and register fine in other consoles. Where as it won't in mine. Now the problem console
will play other games totally fine but it won't register any Destiny 2 disc?!

Xbox Gold Won't Register

I bought Xbox live and the money was taken out of my account but every time i try to play online it just takes me to the get gold screen again.

I have the digital version, the game won't load without an Internet connection when I turn on my Xbox one but if I turn on the Xbox one with an Internet connection it loads and if I unplug the Internet from the Xbox one after I'm signed into Xbox live it
also loads, I tried redownloading but it's the same result, all my other games work offline and there's nothing on the devs official sites or anywhere on the internet about this game needing Internet to play, and there is no message when the game won't load
telling me I must have an Internet connection or connect to Xbox live, I hope this issue will be patched

I had the same issue so I cleared the cache and did a full shut down. It worked after that.

This only happens with a certain disc ? If so, the disc may be scratched or dirt. if this happens with all the discs you have, then you may need to get your xbox fixed. For that, call Xbox support.

You have only bought digital games so the laser sounds like it never gets used so that shouldn't be the problem. RDR2 comes with two discs. Did you try both? I think if you put the wrong disc in it won't register a disc. If you can't get your system
to read a DVD or any game disc then somthing is wrong with the disc drive.

Unreadable. ALL discs are unreadable and dont even register as a game or DVD disc. I cant play anything in my xbox from disc. IMEDIATELY after the update.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, sadly these steps didn't fix my problem. I did what you suggested, but the system still won't register my second disc. The download is stuck at 5.24 GB out of 6.45 GB.
