Xbox won't reformat

    Xbox won't reformat


    hi, so I am aware that everyone is having issues from the new updates but so far I haven't seen the solution to mine. I update the xbox a little while ago (October?) and the hard drive has since read "unformatted". I have the original s consol with the 4g
    internal hard drive, that is it. I had a flash drive plugged in the xbox during the update and since then it will only read the flash drive as the hard drive. I cannot use the xbox without the flash drive plugged in. I have followed the processe Microsoft
    gives you to reformat the hard drive and it continues to read unformatted. Help please!

    Destiny 2 connection issues - refund requested

    I fixed the problem - ON MY OWN.

    Reformat the hard drive and reinstall the game. Just reinstalling won't work. You have to reformat.

    Xbox keeps on freezing

    Guess what join the crew, i had the mw2 xbox with 250gb hdd.

    It was freezing and being painfully slow so i contacted support they said reformat it, i did and now it says unformatted.

    And won't reformat so im screwed

    Sorry to hear about the hard drive issue. Unfortunately, it sounds like you will need to submit your console in for repair. I recommend getting in contact with our chat or phone support agents through our

    Yeah the hard drive is set for the Xbox 360 only and won't be recognized by the PC without a reformat.

    No, the storage needs to be directly attached to the xbox via the USB ports.it will also format the drive for game storage and won't be usable on a PC after that without reformatting.
