Xbox won't recognize my 6 remaining months of live

Hey!

So, seeing as Deus Ex was free now, I decided to download it. But I got an error code regarding the region of my account. This was weird, because I am in Norway and have always set my account, console and credit cards to Norway. But after accessing the 360
store, my account was apparently registered in Alabama. Obviously, I moved the account and the download worked fine, but now my Xbox One claims I don't have live, which is weird since I had until July 1st of prepaid gold. Any idea how to fix this?

How do I convert my xox gold live account to a family account for free?

The live gold family account FAQ states:

Q: I am currently an Xbox LIVE Gold member. If I have time remaining on my current subscription, do I receive a discount on an Xbox LIVE Gold Family Pack?

A: We will give existing Xbox LIVE Gold members a prorated discount on the purchase of a Family Pack. For each month remaining on your current Xbox LIVE Gold subscription, we will reduce the purchase price of a Family Pack by $5. For example, if you have
six months of your Gold subscription remaining, you qualify for a $30 discount and will only be charged $69.99 at the time of purchase. If you have 20 months or more of your current Xbox LIVE Gold subscription remaining, you can upgrade to an Xbox
LIVE Gold Family Pack for free. You will not receive a refund for any remaining subscription time in excess of 20 months.

But when I try to convert my regular gold account to a Family account the process

1) wants my credit card - I have 24 month remaining on my account and should be entitled to a free family account.

2) Seems to indicate that I'll be charged $99, but I have 24 months on my account already. The process won't assure me that my existing balance will be converted to the gold family membership.

Can someone explain how this is supposed to work?

 

Bought used Xbox One and previous owner has 6 months of Live Gold left on his profile does it apply to my new profile?

Hi everyone. I used to be a PlayStation gamer, but I have finally made the switch to Xbox. I have a lot to catch up on and I don't know much about Xbox Live yet. I just bought a used Xbox One (to save money, haha) and the previous owner said he has 6 months
of Xbox Live Gold remaining (although I have yet to verify this claim). Since then I have created my own profile/account on the system. Would I need to use the previous owner's profile to take advantage of this already paid for 6 months of Live or would I
be able to use Live from my new account on the system for the remaining 6 months before purchasing it for myself? I hope that my question is under the appropriate forum heading and that my question isn't too noobish for the Xbox community lol I am really excited
about having the Xbox One and would appreciate any helpful responses. Thank you.

Sounds like your Microsoft is a US account. There is a few steps to take in order to migrate your account to Norwegian region:

support-origin.xbox.com/.../change-region.

Once done so, on your Xbox One, remove your profile from the console, reboot and re-add the profile.

You might have to do the same on your Xbox 360.
