Xbox wont read Dead Island

i havent played dead island for a while and now that its free i want to play it with all my friends. I dont have room to download it so i just use my disk. But my xbox doesnt want to read the disk. I tried out my brothers copy of the game and it still didnt
work. My xbox just doesnt want to read Dead Island. All other games work fine. I heard this could be because of an update from microsoft that causes certain games to stop working. Is it possible this is microsofts fault ? I have an old xbox 360 Pro but with
a 120GB harddribe if that makes a difference.

It could be that the laser is dying on the console. Currently Dead Island is free to Gold members. Why not try downloading the game to your hard drive?

like with dead island it has a hard time reading it but with battlefield bad company2 no problems.

I wont lie, I thought that coconut tree icon in your gamelist was Dead Island , I almost had kittens.
