    Xbox won't read any discs


    My xbox 360 will not read any discs. Yes they are all clean, scratch free and have worked perfectly until now.

    I was playing GTA 5 when the screen went black and returned to the dashboard whilst the tray said "open tray". It does this with every game now, I put the game in and it says "open tray" . I tried turning it off and on again, unplugged the cords and put
    them back in, still won't work. What do I do?

    Hey!

    I'm extremely confused. My xbox refuses to read ANY GAME Discs, yet I tried DVD discs and they work fine...

    So? why won't my xbox read my game discs, I recently bought COD: GHOSTS and it won't even read that and it's brand new!!

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    EDIT : i'm using the white original Xbox 360.

    My Xbox took 4 or 5 try's to read a disc but now (as soon as I got Forza 6) won't read any disc.

    No disc read errors. Just backcompat error. Disc 1 reads and installs fine. There are not deviations on any of the discs. Just two and three won't work.

    XBOX won't read the disc at all, It reads ALL OF MY OTHER GAMES and DVDs, this is the second Assassin creed 3 disc I have had, return the first because it didn't work any advice here?

    A Series S doesn't have a disc drive, so it won't read any discs.

    That game is not backwards compatible so it won't work on a newer console.

    WARNING: Use your disk carefully!!!

    They won't replace the disc as its "not their fault" they are blaming my Xbox for the scratches, consumer rights are difficult in this situation. Read Rockstars TOC's - it states any disc can be replaced without scratches.
