Xbox won’t re-install fort nite

I uninstalled my fortnite by accident and when I go to Microsoft it shows I own the game and when I click install on devices it says Thank You were trying toinstall and then nothing happens. Help please!

Hi! Did you try to install it via your Xbox One instead? That should most likely work.

It's possible that it doesn't download the game to your console because you have set up someone elses Xbox as your home console.

 

When we go out and look in our Xbox games it is not out there. I did see that he had a bunch of devices listed so I deleted all of them so only his Xbox is out there (I verified the serial number). How do I make this the home console. It is not listed as
home.

So are you saying just make another account? Can we us the same email? Sorry I am not familiar with all this.

 

You can use another account only to download the game, you don't have to use this other account to play, its only to get the game and download It

Have you tried to install it on your console, not using the site?

 

We tried logging in using a friends account abd that didnt work either.

Thanks for the reply! I'm sorry to hear about the issue with installing a game on the Xbox console. I recommend
to try a power cycle
of the console and try installing.

If the problem persists, try doing a
soft factory reset of the console,
Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. This will help refresh the console's operating system.

Note: Before resetting your console make sure of the following:

• There is a stable network connection.
• The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

Try this out and let us know the results.

 

Try clearing the cache.
Put your finger on the start button of the console for 10 seconds until it goes out.
Then wait another 30 and turn it on again.
After trying this, reinstall the game.
It may work for you .
