  1. Xbox won't power up

    So hello,

I've got a problem with my xbox turning on. Before you reference this page:

    http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/console-wont-power-on

I've already tried all the different options there. I've done the reset. And plugging directly into an outlet. Unplugged the console to make sure it isn't an update. Everything. The power supply itself seems to be getting power, and is lit with a solid orange
light. The only thing that seems to be working with regard to the actual xbox itself is that while plugged into an outlet, the sound for powering up works, but VERY faintly; the sound for the disc tray also works. There seems to be some small popping sound
associated with noises. Besides that, the light does not come on, and no other indication of power happens.

Just message for any clarifications you may need and thanks,

    :)

  2. Xbox One won't power up???

Xbox one won't power on. Have tried troubleshooting to reset PSU and no luck. Light on PSU is solid orange and then light goes out when adapter is plugged into console. No power at all to console. Any help appreciated.

    Xbox won't power on

So I made the mistake of plugging my Xbox straight into the wall instead of my surge protector (my international adapters are too big to conveniently plug into the same strip), and when I plugged my laptop into the surge protector, I ended up dropping the
circuit breaker in the house. Everything that was protected was fine, but my box won't power on now. The light on the adapter brick doesn't come on.

    Halp. What do.

Sounds like you may need a new power supply for the console.

In case anyone is having the same problem and can't find a solution I have this to say. It's most likely the hard drive. It was in my case. The hard drive just died and was making the weird noises (not the fan). You can request a repair to change the hard
drive or do it yourselfs if you are brave enough and out of warranty with a little help from the internet. The hard drive was of a good brand too it's not like Microsoft wanted to save big cash and put a cheap one inside so I guess I can't really blame them.
    Bad luck.

Original Xbox One won't power up.

You wouldn't be voiding any warranty at this point.. it's well past the warranty period.

Before replacing, make sure that the power cord going into the brick is snug as well.. I've seen issues with it being loose in the past as well.

XBOX ONE S Won't Power Up

are you connected via an extension or direct to the wall, if you are using an extension could you try plugging to the wall direct and see if the problem still occurs, extensions can limit the power being supplied to the console.
