Xbox won’t power off with wireless headphones connected

This issue has been happening for a couple builds and I’ve reported it. So if I have my wireless headphones (Razer Thresher) on and try to turn Xbox off with remote holding Xbox button on remote the headphones, remote and Xbox shut off but then the Xbox turns right back on to the dashboard on its own. If I turn off headphones first then use remote to turn Xbox off it works fine. I’m in alpha skip ahead

Why can i connect my usb headset to my Xbox series s

Hi there Eric, my name is Gerardo, and I'm an Xbox player, just like you. I'll be happy to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

I'm sorry to inform you that it is not possible to use headphones that connect via USB on Xbox consoles. This is mainly because the USB ports on the console are not designed for audio transfer; they are intended for data transfer to external storage devices and providing power to other devices such as Xbox controllers.

The only way to use wired headphones on Xbox consoles is through headphones that connect directly to the 3.5mm port on the controllers.

On the other hand, the only way to connect wireless headphones to the console is by using the official Xbox Wireless Headphones or licensed wireless headphones that utilize Xbox wireless technology (and that they are labeled as "Designed for Xbox" on their box). They connect natively to the console's wireless technology without using a USB dongle, meaning they pair with the console similar to pairing a new Xbox controller.

I appreciate you understanding and if you have further questions please let me know.

    Kind regards,
    Gerardo.

Xbox consoles do not utilize Bluetooth for anything. Where are you getting this nonsense?

Why is my xbox and wireless headset keep getting disconnected??

Hi, my name is Marvina and I will be happy to help you.

I'm sorry you have this problem. Follow the instructions below for a solution.

Use the Green Power Button on the back of the left earcup to turn off the headphones. You should hear a “power off” sound and the power light will turn off (just above the power button). Wait a few seconds, then press the power button again to restart the headphones.

Make sure your headset is updated to the latest firmware using the Xbox Accessories app. On Xbox X|S and Xbox One consoles, you can access the Accessories app in the Settings menu: Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories. If you don't already have the Accessories app installed on your PC or mobile device, you can get it at:

    Xbox Accessories app
Note Your Xbox Wireless Headset must be turned on and connected to your console or device to update its settings in the Accessories app. Depending on the number of accessories currently connected to the console or device, you may need to scroll left or right to display the headset settings screen.

To see if the headset firmware is up to date, click the (…) button on the headset setup screen. If a new update is available, select Update now to update your headphones. (Even if no update is available, you can also select Update now to reinstall the latest firmware.)

This may take a few minutes; Leave the headset on, motionless, and near the console until the update is complete.

Note To update the headset through the Xbox Accessories app on a Windows 10/11 device, the headset must be connected to the device using a USB-C cable.

To perform a hard reset on your headphones:
Connect the USB-C cable to the headset and stand next to the console, Windows 10/11 device, or a power source with a USB connection (do not plug the other end of the USB-C cable into the console, PC, or power source yet). feeding).

Press and hold the power button and mute button at the same time (both located on the left earcup), then quickly connect the USB-C cable to your console, PC, or power source.

If the hard reset is successful, the headphones should turn off.

Turn the headphones back on. (If you hold down the power button during the entire hard reset process, the headphones will turn off and on again.)
