Xbox won't play games. will just go back to home screen

I have read many fixes on this and have tried all of the recommended ways. I have unplugged cleared storage closed all other apps even reset fully. This makes me think it is a hardware issue because no fixes have worked... please help.

Minecraft Black Screen

Whenever my friend tries to play Minecraft Xbox One Edition either his screen goes black or it will go to the home screen and won't let him go back out does anybody know what I could do to help him fix this?

Tv apps won't work

so I just bought a new Xbox one, downloaded iPlayer, itv player and sky go, but none of them will work! I've tried uninstalling and redownloading them and restarting my Xbox but they either won't play any programmes or when open just go straight back to
the home screen! Anyone know how I can fix it?

Is this any type of media specific, like digital or disc, or both? I tried to launch Halo 5 the other day and had it close on me a few times. I haven't tried it since. I had no issues with the Forza Horizon 3 demo though, which is what I have been playing
pretty much exclusively lately. I am up for trying specific games, if you think that might help.

Same issue and nothing works, not even the hard reset. System was working fine on Wednesday morning and then this issue happened. Also the system stops recognizing my external hard drive. These issues better be fixed by the time Gears 4 is released.

I got mine to work now. I unplugged the power brick for 6 minutes and both kinds of games work now.

I can't even get the game to start. it's just frozen then after a few seconds it goes back to the home screen......... Its the only game that won't play.....

It just seems to be Fifa 22 and Siege that won't work and load . The game screen shows up then it either cuts off the xbox totally or takes it back to the home screen

Same issue here as of the update today. Just sends me back to the Xbox home screen when trying to load into a game. I was able to play WarZone before the Season 2 update, but won't let me play now.

Wolfenstein will not play on my Xbox one. It has installed but when I go to start it the red start up screen appears for a few seconds then goes back to home. And it won't uninstall.
