    Xbox won't play any of my games.


    Just recently my Xbox one decided it would black screen whenever I tried to pay any of my games. It does this for all of them, it does it on my disc games and also for my games that are downloaded. It will still go on Netflix and do all of the "computer"
    stuff, but I bought the system to play games. Just frustrated and trying to figure it out.

    why won't my Xbox download /install new games or let me play any of games and they don't have any scratches on the disc

    Xbox won't play any of my games.

    I’d suggest trying a full reboot of the Xbox One. To do this make sure the console is on and then hold down the power button on the front of the console for around 15 seconds, it’ll beep and power down. Then turn it back on (be warned it will take longer
    than usual to boot). Hopefully everything will then be fine.

    I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

    Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

    After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

    Another thing you should troubleshoot is your persistent storage by selecting Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections, and then selecting either Blu-ray and then select Persistent storage to clear it.

    In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox:

    Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

    Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

    Thank you for the step by step I am currently on the step after reset and I am checking if the game loads up

    UPDATE: it currently is running into the same bug where it is taking a long time to start up the game and is not starting up.

    Just had a thought could the fact that the games are on an external hard drive be the problem even though they've been working fine on the hard drive before.

    Thanks, yeah Microsoft said to ship it in and in 21-30 days I'd get it back. I just setup and RMA to MS Store online and picked a new (non-Scorpio) edition from Best Buy and it works. Well except for one thing, when I hook my cable box up to the xbox it
    fails the 4k tests and will only display in 1080p. However when I hook it up to the TV with the same cable, it will do 4k @60Hz. What's up with that?
