Xbox Won't Load, System Error: E102 00000C12 80070002

Upon turning my Xbox on this morning (it's the original xbox one, not S or X) it failed to load up to the home screen, instead taking me to an error page displaying System Error: E102 00000C12 80070002.

I've spent all day researching this, and trying all kinds of troubleshooting, as well as contacting Xbox Live Support via phone call, to no avail, and am hoping someone can help.

Support says they think I may have to send it in for repairs (which I can't financially as the warranty is obviously long expired) and even if, I was told that Microsoft doesn't even do repairs for normal Xboxes anymore, only the S or X, and wouldn't accept
my normal Xbox for repairs anyway).

Thing is, I don't believe that it's a problem with my xbox hardware itself, but a problem with the Xbox Live update that was released today (keyboard and mouse support for some games, among other things in the update I'm sure), not downloading properly to
my console and causing the issue, as it was working fine even just last night before bed. I had a similar problem and error code happen a few months back, and was also told by Xbox Live support to send my Xbox in, but after hours of researching, discovered
that there was a problem with an Xbox Live update that affected some people with the error, that they were working on it, and sure enough, by the next day, my Xbox was magically fixed when I turned it on, and it actually booted up just fine with no error codes.
If I would have listened to support, I would have sent in my Xbox for no reason.

So far, I have reset the modem and router. I have held down the xbox button until it has fully turned off, unplugged the power and let it sit between 30 seconds and over an hour. I have restarted by holding Xbox Button + Bind Button (the one to the left
of the disk tray, I think that's what it's called?) + Eject button to make the Xbox boot up into troubleshooting screen, and have tried many times there to do a Factory Reset where I have selected "Keep Games and Apps", yet a few seconds after hitting it,
it just takes me right back to the error screen.

The one thing I haven't tried yet, is an offline update through a USB stick. I haven't done it before, and from what I could tell from posts I've seen around, is that that was a solution from years ago from when people were first getting xboxes, and I'm
worried that doing so will actually install an even older version of Xbox than I apparently have now, potentially making solving this issue even harder, though I may try it shortly out of desperation. Would the file in the offline update link even be up-to-date
with today's new mouse and keyboard update (or whatever the update was for exactly)?

Anyway, any help, feedback, miracle stories, fixes, etc would be greatly appreciated! What can I do here?

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

Sorry to hear you are going through this problem. Now when you do run into these System Error codes we are very limited to the troubleshooting we can go through. There is a support article specifically for these error codes titled "I
need help with system updates on my Xbox One."

Going through the article you should be able to get to the specific E102 error code, It will have you Restore your console to factory defaults, If this does not work then you will have to go through with the Offline System Update. Of course once you go through
the OSU the console will automatically download any necessary updates.

Unfortunately if still not working then the last solution to this would be a Repair.
