Xbox won't let me update!!!

Launch the game that should give you the option to update it.

 

I can't even do that. When I go into my games and apps clicking on roblox makes the clicking sound and then never opens or does anything.

 

Try uninstalling the game (Do not reinstall it wait until the end of the process) remove the account which has it on there and hard reset the console lets cross our fingers.

 

Sadly it did not work either.

 

And you said a factory reset hasn't helped? Can you try that again removing / erasing everything on the console.

 

If you go to Settings>System>Console Info & Updates

Once there you will see one of two things:

1. No updates available

Restart your Xbox until you see the option "Update console".

2. Update console

If the update starts upon clicking this read no further.

Some people (myself included) have reported selecting the update button opens a window that says "It's time to update" followed by the message, "You don't need to update".

If this happens to you just press A then immediately press A again. If you receive the "It's time to update" message again, repeat the process until the update starts.

 

Hey there Whiskey it isn't a bug they release it to everyone it just takes time they can't release the update for everyone at the same time or it will go super slow when downloading it.

As i recommended he should factory reset the console for him / her to fix their game

 

I just bough a new Xbox one and I can't get it to do the initial set up. It started and completed 1.2 gig download then it came with a "something went wrong, visit the Microsoft site! No joy there tried numerous times to do the setup but same message!

I'm doing it wireless hot spot on my iPhone. Any suggestions? Tried to get the OS build number but pulling both triggers and hitting both bumpers does nothing either.

You might want to try to update the console offline. We don't recommend using a mobile hotspot to connect to Xbox Live as the connections tend to not be stable and can produce errors like this.
