Xbox won't let me make a new profile or delete anything

My Xbox 360 S isn't letting me delete anything, update Xbox Live, or even make a new profile. It won't let me save anything because I cant update it. I just bought it used. All it has is the 4gb hard drive built in. What can I do to fix it?

I can't move or delete my profile, and i've tried clearing my cache but it still won't let me do anything

No. As long as you make sure to delete only the profile you won't lose anything.

Could you go into the storage settings of your console and have us know if you're given the option to format the internal storage device. Or does it state the internal flash drive (4 GB) as "unformatted", when you try to format the internal drive?

 

I'm given the option to format it, and it doesn't say unformatted. I've tried to format it many times to factory reset it and it does nothing.

 

Could you post up the OS version of your system.
