Xbox wont let me download the 3rd compatibility pack.PLEASE HELP!!!

Okay so here is what happens:

I put in the game and it says press the a button to start, so i press it and then it says there is a new comp pack, so i start downloading it and i just let it sit in the destiny menu for a while. but the problem is it freezes after about a half hour so i have
to turn it off and back on. and once i sign in and everything i check my active downloads and it says its still downloading but the thing is its like 25 percent less than it was before it froze. so i cancel it and delete the remaining incomplete download and
go back into destiny to download again but this time i try backing out of destiny after the download starts so it doesn't freeze (it only freezes when in destiny) but when i do that the download only gets to like 60 percent then says cant download so i go
to delete it again when i go to storage i notice that ALL of my folders say that their corrupt. so i turn it back off and on again and check the storage and everything is normal, so i delete the destiny comp pack and go back to the dashboard and this thing
pops up saying that some xbox content is corrupt and an update is needed to replace them. so i press okay and then everything goes black, so i check the xbox and it has a half red ring (red around the sides and green in the middle) so i turn it off and on
and then everything is fine until i try to download the comp pack again. Please help! ive tried so many things like deleting the entire destiny folder, or clearing the cache, and removing the hard drive and putting it back in, i
dont know what else to try! is my game really broken?!

Download compatibility pack

I downloaded the compatibility pack and when i start up the game its asking me to download it every time i start it up and i do after i'm done downloading it wont let me join my friends game

Somebody please help

 

Borderlands 2 compatibility Issue

I'm having issues with the compatibility pack. Not only does Borderlands 2 keep asking me to download the compatibility pack, but it also wont let me play my psycho pack and mechro pack characters even though I bought them legally.

 

Let it download, leave it. Microsoft's servers are apparently broken, have been for a while, you'll just have to retry for the part that won't download.

 

but how do i stop it from freezing when downloading in game?

 

It's not freezing. Most likely, the game is waiting for Microsoft's servers to respond, and because they're not really responding...the game just sits there. It happens. You just have to wait. Sometimes for 20+ minutes. Sadly Microsoft doesn't have timeouts
for this kind of stuff so the game just waits and waits without letting you know what's going on. The same thing happens when Xbox Live got DDoS'd not too long ago. The servers were overloaded, couldn't return responses in time, and consoles would just wait
when trying to send a message or even pressing the Xbox button. You'll just have to wait--it's most likely not an issue on your console. I'd try at a different time of day, when it's not really peak hours.

 

ive tried in the peak hours at like 1 in the morning, but the thing is that the whole game freezes, like the 2 little half circles completely stop if you know what circles im talking about. and when i come back and its frozen, my controller is off so i try
to turn it back on but i wont so that proves its frozen doesnt it?
