Xbox won't enable 4k on my 4k tv

Hey Dérek! Just did this and it fixed my issue it now detects my 4k tv and the Xbox is now set to 4k uhd thank you so much!!!!!!

Then see if you can enable 4k

If it gives an error, put auto detection and see if it recognizes the 4k

i know with my UHD tv, it won't act properly if 4K isn't enabled correctly in the settings and if the HDMI isn't high speed.

The Xbox one and above can work with any TV that has HDMI input.

To View content that is 4K enabled in 4K such as videos and games you do need to have a 4K capable TV.

You can sill plate the 4K content and 4K enabled games on a non 4K TV it will just not be at 4K bu still look incredibly good based on your TV capabilities.

In addition to the above, some 4k TVs only accept a 4k signal from certain HDMI ports, check the one you're plugged into. My Hisense tv requires me to enable a setting in the menus; HDMI needs to be set to 'enhanced' or else the xbox reports that the tv
is not 4k compatible!!
