    Xbox won’t download disc offline because of needed update


    I have an xbox one and no wifi and I’m trying to download two different games from disc I just bought. Lego Batman 2 and call of duty ghost. Even when I am in offline mode it says an update is needed to install the game. I have downloaded Black ops 3 from the disc yesterday and it worked fine. I have restarted my console, I have 311gb free. And my Xbox console itself is also fully updated. I don’t currently have access to wifi to update these games so I need a way to play the game off the disc.

    Do you have access to a mobile hotspot? While I know it will take a while it’s you best option right now.

    Yea and to my understanding call of duty ghost and lego Batman 2 are way under 50GB seeing as call of duty black ops 2 is only 47GB and only needed the disc

    Technically you are right by saying that 50gig Blueray disks aren't big enough for a lot of game nowadays since 50gig disks are the standard size for most games and movies.

    You just need to look online to see that 100gig Blueray disks are available and the PS5 is reported to have the ability to use 100gig Blueray disks.

    Yes after you update

    Games frequently are TOO large to contain in one disk so online updates are needed to fill in the gaps that the disks can't contain 50gigs max on blurays fyi

    You are going yo run into alot of issues if you don't believe in online updates

    Games rarely pack more then one blurays

    Even ff7 is online only as the game is multiple episodes

    It's not just updatesand day 1 patches it's the full install
