Xbox won't display images stored on a flash drive?

I'm currently trying to put up a custom background image onto my Xbox One, alongside the soon-to-be-added custom gamerpics, but the media player app doesn't want to display ANY image files I put onto my flash drive. It can view and play MP3 files and view the
exact same photos on my computer just fine, so what's the deal? I've tried different ports, I've tried wiping the drive and reformatting it, I've tried hard resetting, but nothing works.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this fix?

Screen flickering

Hello. I booted up my xbox one today and have encountered a problem. The screen flickers and a portion of the image on screen flashes again on the right. I have tried a hard reset, changing my display settings and switching to a different HDMI port on my
tv. Are there any other thing I could try? Thanks!

You cannot access your Xbox files on the computer.

What format are your image files in? Are you able to try a different flash drive to see if that makes a difference? Do you have access to a different console you can try? That'll help us figure out if it's an issue with your console or the flash drive.

for older Xbox games he will need a hard drive flash drives won't work for that.

FreeSync "only" prevents "screen tearing" caused by the console writing data for the next frame, while the screen is still drawing the last frame. The FreeSync screen
adapts it's refresh rate to the exact refresh timing the console displays a full image.

Your monitor's refresh rate won't really affect your performance in the game, unless you play on a TV which uses several image enhancements (like motion interpolation, screen sharpening etc.) as these enhancements introduce display lag.

This means for example: A console renders the image of an enemy shooting at you, and the muzzle flash of the gun lights up. This picture is sent to the TV. In order to interpolate a smooth motion, the TV stores that image and "waits" for other pictures to
see what happens next. The console is then rendering the next image where the bullet is already on it's way flying at you. The TV compares both images, and "makes up" some images of the bullet's flight from the gun to where it's in the picture the console
sent.

Then the TV starts displaying the image with the muzzle flash and the made up in-between images of the bullet flying towards you.

In the mean time, the console already registered the bullet hitting you and renders that image.

So while you just saw the muzzle flash on the TV screen (i.e. an action that already happened in the past), the console already processes your character being hit by the bullet.

Other than that, you don't really have any (dis-)advantage from having "incorrect" monitor settings.
