Xbox wont display above 480 dvi

not to long, this issue started. the console will not send a signal through HDMI unless the setting were at 480 dvi. the console can go to 1080p and 720p. but the only way to see this is to stream the game to a pc. in order for me to change the settings,
i had to use narrator to find all of this to get to 480i. ive already been on the phone with support and they werent much help. they kept asking me several times to try different tvs even tho, i already have. and if it was the TV, then it would be an automatic
switch back to 480i. but it wasnt.

now, after doing research myself, i believe the issue comes from the HDMI retimer (Texas Instruments SN75DP159 6 Gb/s DP++ to HDMI Retimer). im wondering if there
is a way to reset this chip. or if anyone else has an idea of what the issue is.

Xbox One S - stuck @ 480p with fuzzy screen

bought xbox 10 days ago , last night while playing

Gears of War 4 my xbox stopped outputting video and after restarting it started giving blank screen with no signal after performing eject+Xbox button my console has started displaying screen but @ 480p and green dots (Fuzzy) it wont go above 480p ..... i
did everything from changing Hdmi , DVi , LEd , monitor but console wont go above 480p ....

 

No video through Dell monitor

I've been using my Dell PC monitor with my Xbox 360 Slim for a few months now, but recently it has no been showing video.

I connect my Xbox to the monitor through an HDMI to DVI cable, but the monitor just goes into power save mode and does not show video.

I recently used a DVI to DVI cable to run video from my desktop PC to the monitor, but after I tried switching back the display video from the Xbox, the monitor does not display video.

How can I get my monitor to display video from the Xbox again through the HDMI to DVI cable?

If you have run through the support steps for resolution changes and your console with the Phone team and seen no change then the next best step would be a repair.

You can
register the device if you like and submit that repair your self, or you can reach back out to
chat or phone for assistance with setting it up.

To be sure, did you end up testing the console on another TV? You might also try a new HDMI cable to be absolutely sure.

im hoping you said "testing the console on another tv" a joke because ive already stated that i have several times. other then that, i dont believe i can send it off to be repaired because ive taken the xbox apart myself. i believe the issue is the HDMI
retimer. if there is a way i can reset this, that would be awesome for im not good at soldering nor do i have the equipment to do so. but thank you for your time replying

If the Xbox One is displaying 480p/i resolution, the display troubleshooter would appear. The Xbox One displays at this resolution
when it is unable to get the EDID of the TV, possibly from a faulty HDMI cable, HDMI port (on either the TV or console), or a device between the TV and console (such as an AV receiver) is interrupting that communication.

Since you've said you've already taken the Xbox apart, the warranty sticker has likely been broken and voided, so it would not be eligible for a repair (I'd expect the MS techs would mark it as "tampered" and refuse repair).
