Xbox won’t connect wirelessly to internet

I used a wired connection for a day or two and then I moved my xbox back to my room and it wont connect to internet wirelessly anymore. I have tried resetting the xbox and restarting the router and nothing is working

Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We need a little more information to make sure we provide the correct solution. Are you using an Xbox One or Xbox 360? What is the error message or error code that appears when you try connecting to your wireless

ok so when i connected it directly to the router, internet connects no problem, but wirelessly it does not connect, how do i make it so that it will connect wirelessly?

I have already factory reset my Xbox and can’t log back in because it is unable to connect to a wifi network.

The router is next to the Xbox so it is in range and all other devices are able to connect.

In other words, the network is functional but the Xbox cannot detect it nor connect to the internet via Ethernet cable (it says that it is connected but won’t download, or communicate my Microsoft account).

Prior to the factory reset, I was unable to run any network diagnostic tests on a wired connection and attempting them while connecting wirelessly always resulted in the same error code.
