Slow Xbox 360 Slim

I just bought an xbox 360 slim and its been working fine for the past few weeks, but all of a sudden when i turned it on today it took about 2 minutes for it to load up the dashboard. Also it wont connect to xbox live. It connects to the router and the internet,
but it wont connect to xbox live for some reason. Any suggestions?

My xbox will not let me connect to xbox live the xbox is hooked up thru the ethernet cord and it says it had good connection but it wont connect from the internet to xbox live and i tried all the solutions and none of them worked. It just all of a sudden
stopped working when we were watching a tv show.

Let's try with some basic maneuvers and let us know how that goes and we'll work from there.

Clear Xbox system cache

1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
   
2. Select Storage or Memory.
3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.
4. Select Clear System Cache.
5. Repeat this process 3 times in row.

Go to Xbox Network Settings and select Configure Network. Select the Additional settings tab and Restore network settings to factory defaults.

Turn off your console.

Power off your modem and router for a couple of minutes.

Start with your modem and wait one minute for it to connect properly and proceed with your router and wait another minute.

Turn on your console and go to Xbox Network settings. Select Test Xbox Live Connection (if wireless, reconfigure Xbox wireless settings). Let us know if test fails to connect properly and if so, where does it fail to connect.

Hello, I have the same problem. So hope it is correct that I reply on this thread and not start a new thread. My first time using the forum.

I followed the steps above and everything connects, no errors. but after a few minutes i then automatically get disconnected from Xbox Live. When I try to sign in again I get this message: A problem occurred while signing in. Please try again. If the problem
persists, visit www.xbox.com/support

Then the whole cycle starts again - I do the above steps, no errors, I sign in and then after a few minutes I get disconnected from Xbox Live.

The second free Gold Live game also does not download. I've been trying since the 16th to download it.

 

Tried that clearing cache suggestion before coming to the forums and it did not work ... any other suggestions? and perhaps a reason WHY a normal xbox should be having this problem? its a common problem and yet it seems to occur a lot .. is it a bug in many
consoles ???

Please I need a conclusive fix ...
