Check you hardware, modem, router, cables, try to reset then , so try to connect on xbox, make a connection test on network section on settings. maybe it help

I had already checked the manual connections and reset everything, but sometimes there was a fleeting internet connection and sometimes not.

I then changed the channel on the router and the xbox is now working.

Just to point out for anyone else who may also encounter a similar problem. Despite the xbox not working or connecting to the wifi, all other home devices were working fine on our wifi.

I am happy to say that all over devices AND now the xbox are working on the new wifi channel.

ok, so I did follow an advice posted elsewhere by adding an ethernet cable between xbox one and router 1670a. it seems to be working (so far) without any other manipulation, although I would prefer to get back my wifi connection. anyway, it seems to demonstrate
that the issue is less related to the router itself than to the new upgrade of xbox messing up with wireless connection.

I'm also having WiFi issues with my dual frequency router. Every other device in the house works fine but my Xbox has trouble connecting. If I reset the connection it works but that requires manually entering the WiFi password again. I have tried restarting
the Xbox or router, that sometimes works but is hit or miss.

You can try to restart (power off & power on) your router / WiFi accesspoint.

My xbox one x is hardwired and is already connected... its older xbox one that is wireless and cant connect... I would hardwire it but it's set up on other side of my place... other systems and devices connect to new wifi router no problem... its just
