Xbox won't connect to the television

    Xbox won't connect to the television


    I was playing my Xbox put in a disc and kept asking me if I owned the disk. So I tried resetting the Xbox and the power button turned on and nothing came on the tvm the HDMI cords and everything are all in the correct ports. I called customer support and
    we tried holding the sync and eject button to trouble shoot, nothing was coming on the tv again. So I did a cold reset, tried turning it on and nothing. Unplugged it from the wall for 5minutes and turned it back on nothing. So I unplugged it from the wall
    just now and I'm going to give it more time before turning on again. This has happened months ago, I was on the phone with customer support trying to figure it out when it just magically turned on so I didn't really pay any attention to it. Until it happened
    again. Could it need an update or something??

    XBOX will not connect to TV

    My Xbox will no longer connect to my television. I have tried other cords as well as another television and nothing helps the problem. Is there a quick fix somehow?

    Fantastic. Plugged everything in. Setup xbox one to control pioneer receiver. Now picture won't display on television.

    Xbox One S can be connected to any television with a HDMI in connection on it.

    This may or may not be related but I just purchased an Xbox One and connected it via HDMI to the same television that I also use as my computer monitor (also connected via HDMI). The external speakers that are connected via coaxial S/PDIF to the television
    will play the audio from my computer but not from the Xbox One. Currently I'm having to switch the audio on my television to the built-in speakers instead of the external whenever I'm on the Xbox One source.

    Hi

    As long as your Xbox 360 was being connected to your television by an HDMI cable then an Xbox One should also work on it. Please see the guide below as long as your television can support the then resolution then you should be able connect it to your television
    without issue.

    Chances are your friends console has been locked at a resolution higher than your bedroom television is capable of displaying.
