Xbox won't connect to the internet after a year

    Xbox won't connect to the internet after a year


    After about a year of having my xbox 1 s it is constantly disconnecting about 5 times per 2 week period, I have tried everything I could think of but no matter what I try it always seems to get worse. Is this a common thing for the 1 s I didn't hear about?

    my hard drive has stopped working. Help.

    Just happened to me tonight as well after about a year of flawless performance. My Xbox won't even connect to the internet unless I unplug it. It just ignores it when I plug it back in.

    I'm having this issue as well. Been using an external 1 TB for over a year now and never had a problem until tonight. My Xbox won't connect to the internet or controllers if I turn the Xbox on with it plugged in. Five to ten seconds after I unplug it, it
    connects to the internet and my controller. Once I plug it back in, the Xbox doesn't even acknowledge that it exists.

    Are you having this issue with WIFI, if yes, it could be an issue with your router, maybe to many concurrent connections shared with it.

    If its happening with wired this could be possibly a hardware issue.

    As for it being a known error, no, not that I know off. My S can have issues with a well used WIFI connection, but thats down to my router being one of those default free ones from the ISP, never had any issues over wired though.

    Me too Internet connection is ok just won't connect to live. I'm with sky. Had a similar problem about a year ago after sky updated router firmware. Could it have happened again?
