Xbox Won!

Yeah COD's had it's day.

We really need another multiplayer shooter to take it's crown.

Maybe Halo 5 will regain the crown. I'm hoping Halo 5 doesn't make the same mistake as the MCC and have a stupid voting system that's rigged for team slayer BR. Playing that game mode over and over again really annoys me.

Do that and Halo 5 will be a flop. It's needs to appeal to new players and not just the hardcore halo 2 fans. And forcing everyone to play the same game mode over and over again due to a rigged voting system will put new players off.

 

I wanna see Epic Games make a new Unreal Tournament game, that may take the crown of multiplayer shooters.

 

Who cares if COD is out first for PS4? Sony can have it. COD been horrible after COD4/WAW.

 

The only way X1 can even begin to pass the PS4 is with new and exclusive IPs. XBL is the much better network, PSN is getting better but still lags behind XBL. But the PS4 is much more powerful and MS should have done all it could to keep Black Ops dlc first
on Xbox. The only way MS can catch up the the sales numbers of the PS4 is with new fresh titles and they need to get rid of that clunky dashboard that we have to deal with on the X1 as soon as possible.

 

Windows 10 is out in October so maybe us preview members get to see it in action soon enough.

 

Microsoft continues to make new innovating IPs, Quantum Break, Sea of Thieves, Recore might save the Xbox One, and I think they should put Halo to rest, Halo been horrible after Halo 3.

Thanks to Windows 10 coming out soon, Phil Spencer will get rid of that clunky Windows 8ish UI as soon as possible.

Yes Unreal tournament would be great. I used to love UT2003 back when I was a PC gamer.

Unfortunately the ps3 and 360 version was poorly supported and didn't do very well

 

Microsoft did a fantastic job in their presentation, they were firm and solid, plenty of games to enjoy for 2015/2016. Holotech is going to be a great use of technology for the average consumer and future industries, backwards compatibility and the windows
10 integration is going to be fantastic. Let's not forget that Directx12 will be coming out as well and game developers much prefer working on Directx12 than OpenGL.

As for PS4, there is a lot of excitement for FF7 but it's a multi-plat and personally that's the only thing that really shined out for me as a gamer, but I think they did okay, a lot of the fans are behaving as if Microsoft got demolished but that isn't
the case at all.

 

Yes FF7 is one of those classics from the 90's but like a lot of old games you remember them with rose tinted glasses.

I've tried replaying old Final Fantasy's in the past including FF7 but the linear store and repetitive random battles bore the hell out of me.

Maybe i'm just spoiled my modern non-linear open world RPGs like Morrowind, Skyrim, Fallout or Witcher 3 but I really find the random battles in old JRPG's annoying. You could be in a small room then get attacked by a load of giant enemies and it makes you
wonder how that many enemies can fit in a tiny room.

 

ReCore does look like quite an awesome game!

 

I wouldn't say Xbox won, I also wouldn't say Sony won.

This year the GAMERS won.

Both conferences were very strong and there is a lot of great games on the horizon for both Xbox One and PS4.

Reidzer, whilst I do agree, Sony's gamers did lose out a bit... I mean, using the E3 conference to ask gamers for money to donate to a game development, then pay for the game, too? Hmmm.

 

Yeah I agree with the Shenmue III point, I dont see why Sony did not just fund the game from the start, especially now as they have confirmed they are funding the game in some way. If that is the case then why ask for £2million from the public??

At the same time don't take that as me knocking Kickstarter or anyone who funded Shenmue III as Kickstarter can be an excellent tool and we have seen some great games funded from it.

 

Gimme Unreal Tournament 1999 Remastered Edition on Xbox One, with new textures, same maps (facing worlds anyone?? ) and I take like 6 months off from work

 

You're right, Kickstarter can be great, but only for new IPs.

I don't see why they should ask for millions from an already established franchise, it makes no sense.
