    Xbox Without Kinect


    Hey guys, microsoft announced that xbox will be coming without kinect to improve GPU performance on games, and soon be able to compete face to face with sony.

    Thats cool but, what about us who already have kinect... The game will automatically turn off the kinect so the console would be able to get better resolutions?I mean we will be impared in this situation?

    Difference between Xbox One and Xbox One without Kinect

    Looks like I will need to make the switch over. I know on 11/2/2014 the Xbox One without Kinect will be available are there any differences between the Xbox One with Kinect and Xbox One without kinect.

    To be honest with you, friend, I don't think that the resources the Kinect uses will have that much effect on GPU performance. I seriously doubt that they will axe the Kinect resources.

    Over time optimisation, better integration of the cloud, and DX12 will have a far more dramatic impact than dismissing Kinect. For example things like Game DVR, background processes like friends and notifications, use just as much, if not more, processing
    than Kinect does.

    Kinect giving way to game graphics would be more like a racing driver losing a couple of pounds. Sure he'll be faster, but probably only by 1000th of a second.

    The biggest way that un-bundling Kinect makes the Xbox more competitive is the price. Anything you've heard about increasing performance is just media running away with themselves.

    You got a point there... besides this console wars.. Im loving my xbox, just ordered my watch dogs, cant wait to play it.

    Kinect is failing.

    The hardware and the software in the 360s shipped with and without kinect was the same, but we had kinectless and kinect skus, kinect since it launched is and probably always will be in the make up of the Xbox, but I don't see why the players that don't
    want kinect can't have the choice of gaming on Xbox without it in the bundle.

    Microsoft said they have no plans of releasing the Xbox One without the Kinect, but I think Microsoft will release the Xbox One without the Kinect to try and match PS4's price tag. I used to
    be anti-Kinect myself because of the Kinect 1, but I got to try out the Kinect 2 at a friends and I love it. Navigating the UI is made easier with voice commands and I cannot play BF4 without the Kinect - voice commands, head tracker and the leaning feature.
