    Xbox Wireless Headset Works For Me, But Not My Son


    I have been having issues with my Xbox Wireless headset on my Series X. The audio through the headset works fine for me, but when I put it from my head to my sons, the audio stops working. I thought he was either going deaf or messing with me, but I heard it shut off myself as we moved it over to his head. Is there something I am missing?

    We have tried updating the controller AND the headset, and nothing seems to work.

    Well I don’t have one to test it on, it’s possible that there is a detection sensors that automatically discontinues the connection if you take it off. I have this problem with trying to share things on the oculus with friends

    Allow me to reiterate, I want a mono wireless headset or an adapter for the 360 wireless headset to work on Xbox one. Heck, I'd be happy if they let me use my 360 wireless headset.

    Thank you, I have a wireless Controller with a jack plug port, the headset is a genuine xbox one, I have plugged it in the controller but it fails to recognise it & the other headsets I have tried, my son has 2 xboxes & the headsets don't work on either
    controller.

    My son had this problem. His wireless headset did not connect directly to the Xbox, he needed to plug in a littl USB dongle that came with the headset into the xbox for it to work. Make sure you don't need one of these USB dongles for it to work and if
    it does, maybe try a different USB port on the xbox.
