    Xbox Wireless Headset Solution

    Hello Dear User

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are having trouble on Xbox wireless headset, and I understand your confusion.

It sounds like you're having some trouble with your new Xbox Wireless Headset disconnecting right after it connects. There are several possible reasons for this issue, and I'll walk you through some troubleshooting steps to help resolve it.

    Check Battery Level

    • Ensure your headset is charged. A low battery can cause the headset to disconnect shortly after being connected. Try charging the headset fully before using it to rule out this possibility.
    Ensure Proper Pairing

    • Sometimes the headset might not pair correctly, which could cause a disconnect right after it connects. Follow these steps to ensure a proper pairing:
    • Turn off the Xbox Wireless Headset by pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds.
    • Press and hold the pairing button on the Xbox Wireless Headset until the Xbox button starts blinking.
    • On the Xbox console, press and hold the pairing button on the Xbox (located near the front) until it starts blinking.
    • Once both devices are in pairing mode, they should automatically connect.
    Check for Interference

    • Wireless interference could be causing the headset to disconnect. Try moving the headset and Xbox console away from other wireless devices, such as routers, microwaves, or other Bluetooth devices, which could interfere with the signal.
    • Also, check if other devices (like smartphones or laptops) are using Bluetooth nearby, as this could affect the connection.
    Update the Headset and Xbox

    • It's important to make sure that both your headset and Xbox have the latest updates:
    • On your Xbox, go to Settings > System > Updates and ensure your Xbox is updated to the latest version.
    • For the headset, you can check for updates through the Xbox Accessories app:
    • Connect your headset to the Xbox.
    • Open the Xbox Accessories app.
    • If there’s a firmware update available for the headset, the app will prompt you to update it.
    Check Audio Settings

    • Go to Settings > Devices & connections > Audio on your Xbox and check the audio settings. Ensure the headset is selected as the default audio output device.
    Reset the Headset

    • If nothing works, try resetting the headset to factory settings:
    • Power off the headset.
    • Press and hold the power button and pairing button simultaneously for about 10 seconds.
    • This will reset the headset, and you can try pairing it again.
Test the Headset on Another Device

    • To rule out a faulty headset, try pairing it with another device like a phone or a different Xbox (if available). If it still disconnects on another device, there may be a hardware issue with the headset itself.
    Reboot Your Xbox Console

    • Try restarting your Xbox by turning it off, unplugging it for a few seconds, and then turning it back on. Sometimes, a quick reboot can fix connection issues with Bluetooth devices like the Xbox Wireless Headset.

If you’ve tried all of the above steps and the problem persists, it could be a hardware issue with the headset. In that case, reach out to Xbox Support or visit the retailer where you purchased the headset to inquire about a replacement or warranty options: Contact us | Xbox Support

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

    Best Regards.

Can we get a wireless headset please?!

    Hi DBxCooper,

Both Astro Gaming and Turtle Beach make wireless headsets that work with the Xbox One. If you want a completely wireless solution for your game chat I'd recommend checking out those two companies. If you want Microsoft to look at a solution for all wireless
headsets I would suggest going to
    http://feedback.xbox.com
and up-voting one of the wireless headset ideas there.

Have you visited Wireless Controller Solutions to see if any of these solutions help with your controller? Have you tried using a
    wired headset?
