  1. Xbox wireless headset on PC

Hello everyone, I got the new headset as a gift.

I was super excited for it, but I'm having some issues with audio. Hopefully someone here knows a way to change or fix it.

So to begin. I have connected the headset through BT, I also plugged in the headset as well with the USB c.

I config my headset on xbox accessories app.

    (Changed the Eq)

But after the changes the headset still sounds muddy, footsteps are distant and gunshots tend to fade away or no sound at all.. (while using the BT option)

So after doing some research, others recommended to change my settings through control panel>sound>headphones.

At this point I have several options Headphones(Xbox controller), this option is only available when plugging in the headset through USB c, which gives me the best sound possible (after tweaking Dolby and the EQ settings on xbox accessories app), other options are Headset earphone (wireless headset hands-free AG audio) which is the BT option but by far the worst sound even after tweaking EQ.. and the last option is Speakers(Xbox wireless headset stereo) which provides no sound at all.

So I love the fact that its wireless, but it limits my sound. Which is a big no no. So if I go through the properties on the Headset earphone (BT)>advanced, I find that my default format is automatically set to 1 channel, 16bit, 16000Hz (Tape recorder quality) and I'm unable to change it to anyother format..

If I checked the properties to the Headphones (Xbox controller, USB C)>advanced my default format is set to 2 channel, 16bit, 48000 hz (DVD quality). Which provides by far the best audio quality.

I want to be able to use wireless, which is the whole reason why I wanted this headset, but I can't seem to change or make improvements to the audio for BT.. which ultimately sucks.

So my question to anyone who knows the answer to is.

Are you able to change default format or any other settings to provide the best audio while using BT for the Xbox wireless headset?

Or am I doomed to stay connected on a USB C cable.. which at this point makes it a wired headset not wireless..

    :)

Can you use the Xbox one wireless headset chat mixer on PC if you have the usb wireless adapter?

Yes, you can use the Xbox One wireless headset chat mixer on PC if you have the USB wireless adapter.

To do this, you will need to follow these steps:

    1. Connect the USB wireless adapter to your PC.
    2. Turn on your Xbox One wireless headset and hold down the power button on the headset until it starts flashing. This puts the headset in pairing mode.
    3. Press the pairing button on the USB wireless adapter until the LED starts flashing.
    4. Once the LED on the USB wireless adapter stops flashing and stays lit, the headset is paired with your PC.
    5. Open the Xbox Accessories app on your PC, and click on the "Xbox One Wireless Controller" device.
    6. From there, you can adjust the chat mixer settings to your liking.
Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to use the chat mixer on your Xbox One wireless headset with your PC.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the headset. According to the Turtle Beach page https://www.turtlebeach.com/products/stealth-600-headset-xbox-one?variant=7763423592492 the
headset can be used with compatible Windows 10 PC's and may need an Xbox wireless adapter for Windows.

    XBOX WIRELESS

Xbox Wireless provides you with a best-in-class wireless gaming audio experience on Xbox One (and compatible Windows 10** PCs) by letting you connect your headset directly to your Xbox One without an adapter, the same way
your Xbox One wireless controller connects to the console. Xbox Wireless automatically configures the headset’s connection, so just turn-on the headset and start playing. **May require Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows (not included).

xbox wireless headset issues on pc

Oh no, I mean. Bluetooth 4.2, Bluetooth 5.0 etc.
Unfortunately Wireless Headset can be a bit tricky or not work as intended on PCs with a lower Bluetooth version.

I was checking a similar thread, it seems this issue is solved using the Xbox Wireless adapter or connecting directly the headset via USB, on PC the wireless headset have some issues when you want to use sound and microphone at the same time
