Xbox Wireless Headset on PC sounds like muddled garbage

Keeping things short and simple, I have an Xbox Wireless headset, and I can only really get Discord to sound clear on it. Everything else I've tried has sounded like I'm trying to listen to it through an insulated wall, or on the absolute lowest quality possible. I tried updating and tuning the headset through the Xbox Accessories app, motherboard settings, game settings, you name it; it still sounds like absolute trash. However, when connected to any other device, such as my Xbox Series X or mobile phones, everything seems to work great. Is there a good fix to this, past what I've tried? I haven't had any luck finding additional drivers, and I'm running an MSI Z690 mobo. All proper drivers are installed, along with any software the headset could possibly need.

By any chance did you at any point update it through the Xbox as well? Not a request to try, but rather to double check and see if you have. And if you could let me know the firmware number of the headset?

Oh no, I mean. Bluetooth 4.2, Bluetooth 5.0 etc.
Unfortunately Wireless Headset can be a bit tricky or not work as intended on PCs with a lower Bluetooth version.

I was checking a similar thread, it seems this issue is solved using the Xbox Wireless adapter or connecting directly the headset via USB, on PC the wireless headset have some issues when you want to use sound and microphone at the same time

So from the sounds of it the best bet is a headset that has the desired sound specs that likely plugs into the xbox but then broadcasts to the headset (game/system sound wireless) but chat sound/chat capabilities is direct from the controller (headset adapter)?

If that is correct the A50s sound like the logical choice correct? Or is there another option?

The standard wireless xbox headset sound is better then the standard xbox cable headset sound

Yes, you can use the Xbox One wireless headset chat mixer on PC if you have the USB wireless adapter.

To do this, you will need to follow these steps:

Connect the USB wireless adapter to your PC.
Turn on your Xbox One wireless headset and hold down the power button on the headset until it starts flashing. This puts the headset in pairing mode.
Press the pairing button on the USB wireless adapter until the LED starts flashing.
Once the LED on the USB wireless adapter stops flashing and stays lit, the headset is paired with your PC.
Open the Xbox Accessories app on your PC, and click on the "Xbox One Wireless Controller" device.
From there, you can adjust the chat mixer settings to your liking.

Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to use the chat mixer on your Xbox One wireless headset with your PC.
