Xbox Wireless Headset Microphone Casing Damaged

I was gifted the Xbox Wireless Headset as a gift for Christmas 2023. Only about a month after the gift, I'm plugging in my headset and feel a piece of plastic in my hand. I look down and a noticeably sized piece of the front tip of the microphone casing has chipped off. I'm worried more will fall off and the headset may become unusable or dangerous due to exposed wiring. To be clear, no further damage has been caused to the headset. I have not once dropped it or been reckless with it. the damage occurred mid-late January 2024. Is there any risk of further damage? Is there a way to repair the product?

If your headset it’s on warranty you can request a free replacement from here:

But if the warranty it’s over unfortunately you may need to get the headset repaired or get a new pair if you’re not able to find an authorized repair center in your city

Hi,

In your case, put your sound on the tv or dobly system and plug your headset ( but the microphone will not working ) .

Your use a Wireless one.

It's a wireless headset, and I only have one controller. I got this headset since my last one got damaged after years of use, and this new headset connects to my Xbox just fine, it's the headset's microphone that isn't working. Plus this headset is quite different than my previous one, which was a Turtle Beach Stealth 600, so I'm not sure if I can isolate anything.

Hello AJB,

Thanks for keeping us updated. The headset adapter would not enable a wireless connection. The headset adapter is used to bypass the 3.5 mm jack on your controller that may be damaged, causing the microphone issues. Here is an article going over the headset
